I personally have used Larry Suter as a coach over the last 6 years. He has the background of no other coach that I know, having competed himself in nearly every Olympic Class (save the Mistals). He has participated in Olympic Trials in the 470, Star, and Tornado. He has extensively raced a Europe Dinghy, Soling, and Laser, in addition to winning the America's Cup on Intrepid! With a such a varied Olympic racing background he was able to offer not only myself, but the teams listed below with a lifetime of racing expertise and boatspeed. Larry Suter's recent Coaching success: 1) In the past year Larry coached Myself and Kevin BurnhamI to the top US boat at the 1999 470 World Championship (10th). 2) Prepared Linda Wennerstrom before she qualified the US into the Olympics in the Europe Class at the 1999 Europe World Championship in her personal best regatta. 3) Coached Graham Vials and Magnus Leask to 1st place at the 1999 Miami Olympic Class Regatta 4) Susanne and Michaela Ward to 1st place at the 1999 Princess Sofia Cup in Spain 5) Kevin Teborek and Tal Ingram to 1st place in the 1999 Hamilton Olympic Classes Regatta in Canada. 6) Larry coached Kevin Teborek and Tal Ingram into 1st at the 1999 470 Mens North American Championship 7) Coaching Eric Doyle and Tom Olsen to 1st at the 1999 Star North American Championship 8) Larry coached the USA Tornado Team at the 2000 Australian Tornado Nationals, where 3 US boats finished in the top 10 9) Coached Eric Doyle and Tom Olsen to 1st place in the 2000 Star Western Hemisphere Spring Championship All in all Larry Suter has coached four different teams from two classes, keel and centerboard, both men and women, all win ISAF Grade 1 and 2 events!
